p.1 #1 · Second try with Neutral Density

Round 1 was not so good so here is my second attempt. I like these more, and the affect seems quite a bit more meaningful and evident. 30 second shutter speeds at around f/11.

These are all very cropped due to the houses/trees etc that were at the bottom of the frame.

I love the car lights over the bridge on this one:

Same with the car lights and I also like the smooth reflections:

As always, constructive comments are happily accepted.

much better than the first. Heres a little advice that I usually follow, picture in your mind what you want the scene to look like, then use the correct lens and exposure to accomplish that.

Nice one! I'd be tempted to clone out the moving boat lights toward the bottom of the first image, or try it again without boats moving in those prominent spots.

Is it just me or are the horizon lines crooked? Other than the buildings being tilted on the first two, these are very nice

I'm really not sure. I tried to line the tree line up straight horizontally but in the process some other things got crooked. I think its just a byproduct of a hilly landscape. Thanks for the positive comments as well

Taylor these are great shots indeed, with my only nitpick being that I'd straighten the horizon a little bit... these all seem to be sloping downhill to the right a bit. Check the buildings on the left top, or the bridge support poles, as a reference (and generally on a wide angle the left side will tilt left a little with natural distortion). NX has an excellent auto-straighten feature if you use NX.

Otherwise, these shots are excellent and a great scene.

*EDIT - just read your comment at the end there - sorry for not reading through. I still maintain it's tilted slightly, if you look at those buildings on the first shot with the bluer sky... regardless, nice work!
