Doesn't work for me. Mainly due to the fact that the subject matter in the photograph is one of the darkest elements. Remember your eye is naturally drawn to the brighter aspects of a picture. In this case it would be the wall/foreground, and the background.

That's not strictly true.
Your eye is naturally drawn to the element that contrasts most with the background, so on a bright background like this one my eye goes straight to the legs because they are dark. Maybe I'm just a legs man but it works for me.
As ususal I agree with liamh. The eye goes to the brightest part in a dark backgrounded frame and the darkest part of a light backgrounded (is that a word?)frame.
This one almost works for me. I think the dark barrel is really the darkest part, so my eyes go there. (I just admitted I like the barrel more than sexy legs. Go figure. )
agree with jim-the barrel and shoes are the darkest parts of the photo-the legs are a muddy color in between the darkest and brightest spots-additionally, the shot it too static to really be considered sexy, IMHO-doesn't quite work for me-legs are almost an afterthought the way it's framed
Hi all,
Thanks for the comments. Interesting reactions I must say.
In relation to shootings again, this was a grab shot and I'm shipping back to rainy old Ireland in a few hours so its unlikely I'll ever see this person again
I was actually shooting her shoes, at least initially. There is the whole package, no adjustments as I'm supposed to be packing and heading to the airport

Oh man, it's too bad you couldn't take her with you. However, in the picture the barrel does a great job of leading your eyes to those beautiful legs. Its the ribs on the barrel. Take a fresh look.
