1 and 2 are both standouts, followed by 4 and then three.

I'd say yes to 1 and 2.

Not sure, but here's some feedback:
2. Probably most saleable. Pretty scene. I wish part of the leftmost plane was not cut off.
3 I dont like this one. But its a matter of taste. The log/fallen tree is just too much for me. Couple of dust bunnies on your sensor to remove, below the roots, left and above the trunk, right.
4. Almost there. I like this composition quite a bit. Unfortunately. not enough DOF. Eye gets drawn down the track, but the bridge looks pretty soft, as does the surrounding foliage. I'd crop or clone out the blue structure far left. Bit of shadow recovery over the train.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the feedback. This is always helpful. I should have noted that by selling I'm thinking of greeting cards not big prints. Maybe that puts things in a bit of a different perspective.

for me:

1 is best but has wierd wood background - to sell it has to be perfect

2 the sky is kind of washed out behind and there is no obvious main subject - planes or scene? and plane framed through

3 is taken at the wrong time of the day so the sky exposure is not good - you need to have all with good color throughout

4 needs infinite dof to work - with mountains out of focus it does not work. the time of day is challenging on this picture.

1 is best. Pictures must either be perfect or have strong emotion to sell.

But thats just my opinion.

Talkeetna, Alaska. About 100 miles north of Anchorage.

No to all of them. Nice shots but nothing that would stand out.

#1 could be awesome with a little more blurring of the background and also a slight vignette around the flower and then another slight vignette that includes the flower.

I tend to agree. When looking to buy something, I look for something thought provoking, that relates a story, stunningly beautiful and above all, unique. I'm afraid that none of these quite fit those criteria.

Man totally agree with this post. Especially the comments on 3.

Not that I am qualified to give an opinion.

Excellent points from all. Bottom line, if you have a buyer...sell them.

I think that the first is the best one. The others are sort of mundane. They are nice but not grabbing photos. Plus you need to show you pics at 800 x ? before you show them here. it makes it easier and most people can see them without scrolling. I'm doing this on a notebook so my viewing space is limited, but given that sometimes a smaller presntation is better on the web.
