Ken Vigil Offline Image Upload: Off p.1 #2 · Mel & Mark - Engagement session CC requested. While I liked the pictures I do not think the textures really worked out in this instance. When i looked at the pictures my eyes went to the textured background first, then to the couple. I think it's because you erased the texture off their faces... I guess i'm just a traditionalist and like minimal post work, let the portrait breathe on it's own. I think I like the idea for this processing, however it took a 2nd look to see what was actually going on. Thanks! on 2nd look, as other have said, it was the painting effect if noticed and mistook for smoothing-the last one especially-some photogs seem to shoot with this type of processing in mind-gabe, for instance, has a more abstract style which easily lends itself to creative processing-these shots have a more traditional feel IMHO and as sam said, may work well on their own without the textures hope this clarifies things daniel Jul 17, 2008 at 04:28 AM
