p.1 #1 · Mel & Mark - Engagement session CC requested.

Did an engagement session with these two young and happy people!

CC requested. My monitor is not yet color calibrated, so any feedback on that will be very helpful as well.

#7 - Not sure about this. The idea is good, but the execution may not be

While I liked the pictures I do not think the textures really worked out in this instance. When i looked at the pictures my eyes went to the textured background first, then to the couple. I think it's because you erased the texture off their faces...

Other than that the pics themselves are great!

I can't believe how many people are using and overusing these filters. I guess i'm just a traditionalist and like minimal post work, let the portrait breathe on it's own. But that said, many people do like them, the poses are nice, they are some nice captures of this lovely couple. Makes me want to see the bunch un-tweaked!

i think you have some nice, traditional style shots and i think the b&g to be will love them-however, the texture doesn't really work with the style shots you've taken-also, some of your PS smoothing needs some fine tuning

Thanks for your feedback Ken. I'll try to post some less processed images.

Textures are very new to me. I really like how some people use it. I'll post some untweaked pictures later.

Daniel - Could you elaborate on your comment about PS smoothing? Do you refer to all the images or the last one? Thanks!

i think radioblurs was referring to the "painting" effect that you have on the last shot. I think I like the idea for this processing, however it took a 2nd look to see what was actually going on. My first impression was that the skin smoothing was really off (which is probably what radioblurs is referring to).

the photos themselves look nice, but i'm not keen on the textures and way over processing.

I like your work Tutumon but agree with the others that the textures are not helping here. The photography stands well enough on its own.
I tried the texture thing and found out that I like my shots og. Take care.

Lovely shots. I agree you should keep them simple and ditch the effects.

I like the last shot. It's different and is just another fun effect. Keep it.

on 2nd look, as other have said, it was the painting effect if noticed and mistook for smoothing-the last one especially-some photogs seem to shoot with this type of processing in mind-gabe, for instance, has a more abstract style which easily lends itself to creative processing-these shots have a more traditional feel IMHO and as sam said, may work well on their own without the textures

hope this clarifies things
