p.1 #1 · Crop vs. full-frame RESOURCE

I've started a new section on my blog to help new photographers understand subjects that are perennially hard to get answers on. Having kept my eyes on this forum and DPR for a while, it seems like the Full-frame vs. Crop thing is the most often asked question out there and the most often misunderstood. So, I tackled that one first! Being a wedding photographer myself, it's going to have that bent on it so I thought you guys might be especially interested.

Hopefully this is helpful to some one out there!

Hi Zach
My thoughts on advice to photographers is that it useful if you will eventually have something to sell to photographers. Otherwise you are devoting space that may be precluding the clientele you are after. Not all couples would be interested in photography tech stuff.

You know, I did think about that, but I decided I didn't mind making clients scroll a little bit. Most of my favorite photographers do the same in their blogs (nickonkenconnection.com/shoptalk and theblogisfound.com, for a few examples). My blog is an add-on to the website, which is clearly aimed at clients, so the blog can deviate a bit. I've actually had several photographers as clients anyways, so it doesn't seem to be a big concern to me.
