so I managed to scratch my focusing screen

Anybody know where I can buy the replacement screen? also how much does it cost?

Try a KatzEye - they're great for manual focusing.

Otherwise you might try Nikon service or put in a "Wanted" listing - KatzEye returns the original screen - you might be able to get one from someoen who had their's changed.

$20 from these people for a replacement screen

Having said that I just rang Nikon spare parts UK (need one myself) and they are $10 from them, so try ringing Nikon USA first.

Just called parts. they are on backorder but will ship in about a week. ordered 2 just in case - $12.50 plus shipping. not bad

Great minds...I also ordered two.

I was amazed how cheap they were, was expecting a lot more, any useful links to a 'how to change them' tutorial.

Yep so far best one I found is this link here:

I managed to scratch mine trying to remove it with instructions provided by Katz-Eye install guide. Should have google first. This link is very detailed with pics and everything.
