Thanks for the nice comments all! I have not had much time to participate in the forum lately, but I had this idea, and gave it a try. The guitar is a 7 string guitar. It is tuned the same as a conventional 6 string, except that it has a extra low string. I tune that to an A an octave below the 5th string A, although some 7 string players tune it to a B.
You are right Nick, the wood is bird's eye maple. My main 7 string guitar has an ebony fingerboard, but thought I would use this one for the color and texture.
