Will Patterson Offline Image Upload: On p.1 #1 · First post in the wedding section This is the 5th wedding I've shot at as a 2nd photographer over the last year. This wedding took place last Saturday, the bride was a girl I used to work with years ago, didn't realize I knew her until she stepped out of the limo, we both looked at eachother like "hey!" haha Anyway, this was also my first wedding with the 1D II and 24-70 lens. Your work is nice but you could increase quality. 1_this is good; would have been nice to see more of her dress. 2_windows are not elegant 3_bad harsh shadow in the back: you should try to work with bounced light( there is a lot of infos here about bounced light using flash on camera) 5_ very nice moment here, despite the shoulder on left part 8_ since the groom's face is the main subject, next time try to focus on his face. and having the surroundings out of focus, you'll get a more dramatic image. also, when i say to pay attention to details, you should get rid of the red sign on background. maybe also the white spot. these are little details, but sometimes makes the difference. good luck Jun 27, 2008 at 05:59 PM

radioblurs Offline Buy and Sell: On p.1 #4 · First post in the wedding section good advice above-one of the big keys i picked up as a 2nd shooter is: try to find your own shots-if you shoot the primary photog's shots from a different angle, you will rarely come away with a winner-any guest could do the same thing try to bring something unique to your shooting that will enhance both your portfolio and your primary photog's album-he/she won't use shots like 6 and 7 b/c he/she already has it and at a better angle-instead, focus on details, capturing moments and emotions that are happening around you-the main photog can't capture them all and will be able to use more of that stuff-push yourself to be more creative and you'll be a step closer to stepping out on your own in the future daniel Jun 28, 2008 at 02:51 AM
