Beverly, I actual have an action I wrote for a soft glow which I tried. Side by side....the non glowing one I preferred. Softening the image also detracted from the expression. However, we apparently think alike, because that is where I intended to go with this image. Steve, for me, the light was the key to this shot. May 14, 2008 at 12:39 AM

One of my sons is a fairskinned strawberry-blonde and the other has dark hair and tan almost year round. I spend a lot of time frustrated when I'm lighting them.
