This fine fellow strolled up my driveway earlier today. I live in a rural part of Mendocino County, CA. Turkeys are not native; they were introduced by Fish & Game about 20 years ago, and have virtually taken over the place. Shortly after this photo was taken I released my dog (a black lab) who caused the Tom to take rapid flight. They are not bad flyers and roost in the trees, dropping their you-know-whats on peoples' cars. They look at bit like a B52 when they take off.

Very nice. I posted a couple from tonight as well. Good to see that blue on the face, I was questioning my WB until I saw yours.
