Found my Daughters stash of good reading and videos when she was a kid. Darn those color thieves ! A little 60's flashback as well.

Thanks and I didn't like it much either. Made some changes from the grey backgound . Not sure if they are better.

You really did make some changes! It's clever but really does compete with you as the subject. I might have gone with basic black to really make you stand out, or just darkened down the gray background to where the texture is very subtle?

Cute Idea! I think the background might be a bit much though, it takes way too much attention away from you and your colorful books.
