p.1 #1 · (Japanese) duck - only one

I call her a "Japanese duck" as that's where I met her, in Tokyo.
And I have only one image to share she is my duck ...

Not sure about this image, ausmr. I think I'm missing something here. Does she have some sentimental value for you?

Yes, I suffer from inability to shoot birds
My lenses are too short, I scare all birds off so cannot get closer.
And in general, I don't see any birds around me.
So she is as good as it gets in my world, so far.

Are there any ponds near you? There must be trees somewhere near..... How about a park or woods?

Just sit down with your longest lens & wait....... Ducks like bread... Bring some.

Glad she holds sentimental value for you.

Thanks Harsha. That is one thing I saw in this image. Those elliptical circles looked even nicer in bigger size but then the duck was much smaller so I decided on the compromise.

Lil - thank you - I should follow your advice.
I always wanted to ask the group what "tricks" you apple to get the birds come and stay near you for long enough to take the shots. Are birds feeders or food thrown around the location the right thing to do?

I find that parking my Ferrari in the driveway attracts lovely birds into my garden!

Oh hang on, you mean the feathered kind, don't you? Yea, seed and bread works best for them.
