More shots from scavenging the hard drive. Feeling even better today. Almost went out in search of Egrets, but the wife convinced me to stay home for another day it wasn't all bad
These are shots I passed up on my first few runs through the hard drive. I guess I'm to the point now I'll process about anything out of boredom.............
Nice work Anthony. These aren't bad for hard drive dust bunnies!
3 Is very nice, nice shot, nice PP.
1 Looks very good, well for an eagle with squared off wing tips.
2 This is what I was seeing on your shot from the other day. Look real close at the birds right wing, the underside near the edge of the frame, looks like you pushed the burning or highlighting(?).
Yes I increased the exposure + 0.45 almost half a stop in PP. Plus I was at ISO 1000. The underside of the wing was pretty dark and I used a Fill light of only 6.
They were noisy as Hell. I ran them through a round of Noise removal in CS3. If you think this was bad you should have seen it before. I thought of running it through a little heavier noise removal, but it took out to much detail. This was IMHO the best I could get. I should have taken down the Fill light and said the hell with the underside of the wing. But given I had seen the BEFORE noise removal version thought this was about as good as I could get it.
Since these were throw away shots to me >> remember I said these were SCAVANGED off the hard drive << I wasn't being overly critical with my PP. Had there been GOOD LIGHTING and BETTER CONDITIONS I would have been more critical.
Also since I have been sick/Ill for two weeks my attention to detail and my attention span leave a little to be desired. I didn't Post Process these for Critical Eyes OR for a PERFECT PICTURE................. It just gave me something to do since I was home and not feeling well enough to go out and take pics, but felt like getting out of bed after 14 plus days of laying around feeling sick as a dog............ Like the tread stated......
Hey Tony, I think it would be better if you stay a couple of more days in the house before deciding to go out. This way you can be scavenging the hard drive a bit more for our pleasure.
Really super captures. #2 is my favorite.
Socrate
Gotta say #1 is a fine example of how to crowd the frame(and maybe a little outside it too) Man thoser are some ruffed up tail feathers isn't there a PS easy button fix for those #3 is neat, very strong look, great sharp shot on the head, nice one
Thanks for your advice and help with PP. I see you edited your response...
You didn't have to > My reply was only to let others know I what I did or didn't do and why. Your help is always greatly appreciated.
