I know that this may sound dumd, but I have not yet sved any pics an cd or dvd's. I know "get with it" but i'm trying to get into it. Need to know if there are any types of CD/ DVD disk that are the best to use? Need a little help? Thanks, Rick

Not only do I back up on CD's I back up on external HD's too.

I don't recommend using CDs or DVDs for archiving or backup. They are simply too unreliable. Like j.curtis, I suggest using external HDs, proven technology & cheap per GB.

For burnable optical media, if you must, Taiyo Yuden seem to be considered among the best quality--just make sure the vendor is selling the real thing, apparently there is a lot of counterfeiting going on with DVD-R's (another good reason to simply avoid them).
