Right now they are docked together, but after Friday, the dual-orbits should make for a great long time exp. early Saturday, and then also for the following few mornings.
Thanks for the replies, guys- and the links.
--Tentacle, the "viewing window" is not the same once they undock, so the actual times, and orientations are slightly different.
I've tried to capture these several times, with only minimal success.
I have seen others' post here that were admirable.
I 'm hoping that maybe many of "The greats" that frequent here, might be inspired to take thier turn.
I'd really like to see the results, come next week. Bob

Just to make sure everyone goes and looks at his first link, DO IT!!! It's a shot of the shuttle Alantis, shortly after undocking from the international Spaces Station, AS THEY TRANSIT (pass in front of) the sun. Stunningly amazing!!
I also recommend finding the link back to his home page--!
Mr Geert, Dude!! Seriously, THANK You for that!!
You don't know that guy personally, (Thierry Legault)that did that, do you? His site reads like he has done things never before accompolished with a 'scope and camera. Wow.
I just recalled that old FM post, looked it up and re-posted it here. I remember being completely speechless when I saw that photo, utterly jaw-dropping. Before that I had never heard or read about Thierry Legault or his work.
They have seperated tonight, Monday.
Depending on your location, there should be some viewing/photo ops between tonight, and Wed. when the shuttle returns
