A march fly (St Mark's fly- Bibio sp). First time I've ever seen one of these in March . Body length about 6.5mm

Brian, this appears to be a somewhat agressive looking fly. Like Michael says, got a little scorpion in him. A strange tiny head in proportion to the body too. Nice shots.
