I really like that place care shot.

I'd like to see you get your flash off to the side. The main critique I have is that so many images seem "flashy". I think they could have benefited from some side light to generate depth. Also, try to take fewer tilts. It's the kind of angle that works best in smaller doses.

Thanks Mel! I'm slowly working on that. I'm buying pocket wizards this week! I'm doing what I can for now...my problem is that I'm often working solo w/o someone to help me with the off-camera lighting (my husband usually shoots somewhere else). I'm bouncing flash right now, which might be the "flashy" pictures you see. I like how the flash looks right now because bouncing it is softer than direct flash. BUT, I will post some off-camera flash shots as soon as I get them. I just did a shoot last Friday with some other photographers who assisted me with setting up off-camera flash, so you'll see some soon enough.

I find that I love the tilt too much some times.

Your logo is a bit annoying. Not many of these "pop" for me. I'd recommend adding a few more processing techniques other than just standard and B&W. Also, pick up a test set of Rosco gels at B&H for $0.02. Your party shots will look much better with a full CTO.

Really great set Cathy. Open mouth brides maid and ring shot are great.

I have to agree about the logo. Very intrusive. Don't remove it, maybe make it a little more opaic. Also number your shots so we can reference them easier. Great work

Hahaha...I know what you mean about the logo. That's not even my logo, just a quickie watermark. I'll change it for the next set or add a frame. I was posting at midnight, really tired, and just wanted to get something up. Thanks for the advice!

By the way, thanks to all of you for the constructive criticism. I am so open to this because I never want to stop learning. Any time any of you see my work, please feel free to let me know anything that can make my work stronger. My whole attitude is that when I stop being challenged, is when I stop being an artist and when my business will fail.

+1 to the frame idea with your logo etched in. That way the whole photo is intact. When it's so big and obvious like this, you almost have to scroll up for each photo to chop off the logo at the bottom.
