I love road shots, Frank, so I appreciate 1 and 2 very much. The first is a great winter scene apart from that, um, Honda sitting there. Lovely light in the second.

Thanks for the comments and compliments, guys!! I didn't think the car was detrimental to the image, personally. In fact, I made a point of including it. Criticism noted!
The last one was taken on a brutally hot, hazy day, and I was hoping to convey that in the photo to some extent. It is a fairly extensive crop, so I could chop off some of the bottom. But I think that's about the only part that's really in focus!! Due mainly to the haze, you understand....
BTW, Acura's aren't expensive Honda's. Honda's are cheap Acura's!!
#1 is a really cool photo, but if I were you, I would go have a talking to with the knucklehead who drove their overpriced Honda into your shot...
Remember when shooting Landscapes to focus on the "Land" part... While ancient old buildings and all can add to Landscape shots, often landscape shots with modern cars in them are only seen as ads in some cheap magazine...
#2 is pretty cool with the way the road is. I like that one. And #3 is sweet. I wouldn't crop it more, as you said, that's all that's in focus anyway... So it works as a nice lead in to the rest of the shot, and it helps to convey your thinking of a hot hazy day as the rest of the image leads off into the distance.
You have some great creativity here. I think you should ummm spread your wings a bit and start interspersing more LANDscape shots with your wildlife shots...
Thanks, Jim!! I'll have a word with the bone-head about leaving his p.o.s. import right where I'm trying to take a photograph, just as soon as I find him.
Point taken and appreciated re the "Land" part of landscape. Trouble is, the "Land" scapes around here aren't exactly inspiring. But I guess it's up to the photographer to make it interesting, isn't it?! Selective use of wide angle and telephoto lenses can make the familiar and mundane look less so.
Your encouragement is also welcomed! I more or less drifted into wildlife photography, simply because it was there. And I don't have to think about it too much (even though I know I should!). I just shoot whatever I find, wherever I find it. Pretty lazy, huh?! Now that I've copped a 17-40 though, I hope to grab some cool shots once the greyness of winter has bid it's final farewell...'til ~next November, anyway.
#1: good, but better without the car
#2: great, but you should straighten it; beautiful light and well thought composition
#3: simply beautiful, though you might try to crop a bit off the bottom
#2 ---I would crop the OOF road in the foreground, and the telephone poles on the side, and the sky, then you've got a real winner IMHO. The intersecting line made by the street just below center makes for interesting play against the compressed road of the fore to back ground.
#3 --- I would remove the sky and negative space in the FG. Focus on the shapes of the bails and force the viewer to discuss them..... Another winner!!!!
