Some pics from Eastern NC today. Not great. I'm new at trying to hit moving targets. Shot with a 5D, 70-200 2.8 and some fill flash. (Should AI Servo be used for birds in flight?)

I like the first shot.
Shooting birds in flight takes a lot of practice and some special technique. Others may disagree but I use ai servo, usually use aperture priority if things a going on quickly. If I have time I sometimes us manual exposure. I also tend to use the center auto focus point. That is only my opinion and there are people on this forum that are way better than me, if they chime in listen to them. Keep trying on the bigger slower birds first and you will get good results quicker.
