p.1 #1 · Island Deer in the snow.

I was out at camp this past weekend and we get a lot of deer there. There's one deer that will get as close as 2 feet away from me before running away. Anyways, the rest were timid so I hid in the back of my truck so I could snap a few photos of them. It was very cold and snowing out. Never a good mix for my Canon 20D and bare hands.

Can you tell me if these appear really dark on your monitor? They look fine on my 24" iMac (default MAC profile) but they are super super dark at work and on my mother's monitor. So dark that the pictures look terrible with very little detail.

Anyways, here's the photos (no specific order). Thanks for looking and any C&C are much appreciated.

Robert

Congrats on these shots. They are a tad dark - - but it conveys the mood. # 4 is brighter.

Personally I have no problem with them being dark - - but I am a tad strange .

Thanks Lil. I must have adjusted the exposure more in #4 because you're right, it definitely looks brighter than the rest. Thanks for taking the time to comment and provide feedback. Take care.

Nice set Robert. They may be just a tad dark but not bad (at least on my monitor). It certainly doesn't hurt them.

Great images and wonderful composition. Makes me feel cold just looking at these.

Nice wintery series. I like that last one for feeling how hardy these guys are because of the feeling of cold and harshness it gives me.

Thanks Mike. I guess it's time I spend some money and get a monitor calibrator.

Thanks Adam. It was probably -5 at the time but the day before that it was about -25. Crazy winter this year.
