I recently picked up a photo scanner to go through some of my older stuff - you know, before all the this digital hullabaloo The following are from a whale watch I did with the school where I was teaching back in 1991

All shots taken with a Canon AE-1 and Soligor 28-135 on Kodachrome slide film. Ask for any more exif and

Cool set - is that a baby lurking nearby in 1, 4 and 5? Love the barnacles all over the head of the whale in #5, that's neat. What shutter speed did you have to use to get that one?

Very cool set - is that a crocodile lurking nearby in 1, 4 and 5? I also like the barnacle dude. It would be helpful if you'd go back and embed exif data in these, though.

thanks very much for the kind comments. Shutter speed was less than a second and aperture was smaller than 4.0.

Gero, I checked the EXIF data, all it said was "OLD" Can you tell us the ISO and meter mode you used

Very nice shots, thanks for sharing your "Whale of a time"

The third shot was taken with my prototype MkIII - how do I know this, because it is in ultrasharp focus. Film was Kodachrome 64 at 64, and metering was, well, whatever it was that an AE-1 did
