veroman Offline Image Upload: On p.1 #5 · #81- Shapes in the Garden I've seen many, many posts here and elsewhere declaring the older 28-70 to be sharper than the newer 24-70. One or two members here said they sold their 24-70 in order to go BACK to a 28-70. Photozone's tests seem to support the sharpness of the 28-70 vs. the 24-70 as well. But Luminous-Landscape did their own comparison at http://luminous-landscape.com/reviews/lenses/24-70-review.shtml and found the 24-70 to be sharper ... also, less vignetting at 28mm. So ... what's the real story? I'm trying to decide between these two lenses and perhaps save a few bucks by going in the direction of the 28-70 ... but not if I sacrifice IQ in the process.
