p.1 #1 · Metering Mode in Metadata

I'm using CS3 Bridge and was wondering what the Metering Mode listed under Metadata, Camera Data (Exif) is. The value listed under Metering mode is Pattern but I have my camera (MarkIII) set to Evaluative metering. I changed to the other three settings, Partial, Spot and Center-weighted and they were listed correctly in the Metadata. Any clarification would be appreciated.

"Evaluative" is Canon's name for pattern metering. "Matrix" is Nikon's name for it. EXIF uses the brand-neutral generic term.
