I was thinking of pulling the trigger on a ProPhoto blog, then ran across a freebie template on DWF. Similar look... no doubt more difficult to customize and set-up... but I like free.
Last night I finally figured out how to get my WP blog moved to my Blu server via FTP (I had WP hosting the blog)
Now I'll be making the buy today of this theme....Looking through the site it just looks EASY to customize. Hopefully I can handle getting it on the server and making it look fancy
Tony Hoffer and Sergio Mottola both have blogs that were paid for and look great.
I on the other hand have a free blog which looks ok and will serve my fine just now.
I use blogger, easy to use and if you know some HTML you can customise it even further.
My BLOG
Wordpress do a free blog too.
Hope this helps Deepbluejh.
sincerely,
anyone who recognizes that quality things aren't free.
I'll add to Sergio's and the Hoff.
Sincerely,
someone who just bought the $179 template blog that has been looking for it for 5 months and never found it and now finally found a powerful blog that does everything he ever wanted and now he will never go back to anything called free again because he doesn't have the time to be customizing a bunch of CSS codes and HTML mambo jambo and he needs to take pictures, build studio success, marketing the websites and spend more time editing pictures and if you ask him, it was the best website investment made after blu and smugmug.

imho a .blogspot doesnt look very professional. you should at least host it on your own server, because guess what. your clients brother, cousin, and aunt all have their own blogspot.
Even so Blogspot is very customizable so if I had it i'd be a master of CSS and all that HTML stuff. I wouldn't leave it so standard.
If time means money to you as it does to me and others, you'd invest a substantial ammount to get the looks you want. $179 is nothing compared to what others cost (see Jessica Claire's). That one easily cost $2k.

I used blogspot for a long time. I used a CNAME so it didn't say 'blogspot' in the address and hacked it up pretty good so it looked pretty cool. However, I recently upgraded because of the ease of everything.
I LOVE your blog Tony. It's probably my most favorite. The graphics and the website with your logo and colors integrate so perfectly! Really, you're probably the best one in your state with the whole photog blog coolness. Can't say country to be fair to others
