Professional engineer retired on health grounds. Also an amateur photographer but more of a gear junkie than a photo taker because I can't get out all that much.

Tamron gear: 28-75 f/2.8 (not so good), 180 f/3.5 macro.
Nikon gear: D3s (truly excellent), D800E (excellent at low-mid ISO), D810 (better to use than the D800E), AF 50mm f/1.8D, AF-S 24-70 f/2.8G, AF-S 14-24 f/2.8G, AF-S 105 f/2.8G VR Micro, AF-S 200-400 f/4G VR, AF-S 100-400 f/4-5.6G VR, R1-C1, SB-900, SB-700.
Zeiss gear: 2/100 ZF.2 Makro, 2/135 ZF.2 (wonderful manual focus lenses)
Sigma gear: 35 f/1.4 Art, 24-105 f/4 OS.
Ricoh gear: GR 5 camera
Sold: Canon 300D, 20D, 3,1Ds2, 100-400, Nikon 24-120f/4G VR

Main photo software: Lightroom

I was drawn to Nikon by great features and yet more problems with my Canon cameras but I also bought a 1D4 to let me keep using my Canon lens collection.
