I\'ve seen that you spend time in Sweden and Japan and didn\'t figure the info would be of value other then some insight on hummingbird photography....mostly though,it was directed at those who might come across this thread in the future and have the patience for this kind of photography....
When I first started taking pics of the hummingbirds a few months ago,my go to lens was and still is the Canon 70-200 f4 L...after a couple of weeks of practice I decided to see how some of my old Nikkor telephoto primes and the Series 1 Vivitar 200mm f3 did...then I cycled through various super telephoto primes and the two super-telephoto zooms in my collection... a few that really surprised me were the Olympus OM Zuiko 300mm f4.5 and the Meyer Optik 4/300 with tubes,much better then I expected...also took time to cycle through varios other lenses...just a couple of weeks ago I decide to see how the first three versions Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm did...the first one I choose to use was the Tokina version...then I got busy with some other photography...this weekend I\'ll have some extra time...I\'ll give the other two S-1 Vivitars a go....and the first one will be the Kiron version.
