I haven\'t played with the focus settings on my d700 yet but what you proposed sounds like it\'d be nice. MF with your finger on the shutter button then once the camera is in focus it takes the shot, would make MF so much easier that way. Hopefully Nikon will implement that in a future body since I don\'t think its currently possible.
Here are 2 from the 28/2.0 on a d700 probably not the best examples but its a cheap gem got mine for $170 bottom shot its at f2 and idk what the top shot was at.
