I picked one up a few weeks ago but didn’t get a chance to do anything other than a few test shots at home to make sure everything was working properly.
This outing was primarily to get a feel for it (literally and figuratively) and set the custom settings to my liking. I already knew what the files would be like (I’ve been shooting one GFX system or another since the 50R) and I wasn’t at all concerned about the lack of stabilization. I also wanted to see if the f/4 maximum aperture was a problem (it wasn’t). Granted, this wasn’t a low light shoot, but then again if it was I would have taken a different kit.
Anyway, here are some samples. I realize some of the shots are going to appear rather pedestrian here, but I can assure you that the files themselves are anything but.
Location is H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens at the Arboretum at Penn State.
