When I was getting into medium format I did consider the Pentax 67. But the prospect of walking around with it was daunting even a number of years ago.

The Makina 67 or 67W have been relatively easy to haul around.

My experience exactly (though I have the 670). I tried out a Pentax 67 with the standard 105/2.4 lens, and even taking off the wooden grip was quite shocked at the weight. Then dry-firing it and hearing that the mirror-slap (and feeling it in my fingers). I really wanted interchangeable lenses, but I also wanted a built-in meter, so I had to compromise and go with a the fixed lens Plaubel Makina. Over the years, being able to take my 670 traveling and hiking, I've come to realize that I made the right choice.
