It’s been months since my 3-month intensive shooting trip focusing primarily on Utah, but more images continue to make themselves known as I keep working through the extended process of editing and developing, finding new favorites that I initially overlooked.
A few notes: the first and last in this set are monochrome and color versons of the same compsoition, let me know if you prefer one over the other. Image 5 is one of my new personal favorites, the green junipers against that rugged and almost exotic looking badlands backdrop is pulling me in. On image 9, I rarely photograph clouds only without a landform, but I could not resist the gentlesness and perfect colors here and the result feels painterly to me. Image 10 was the the brightest and most colorful rainbow I have witnessed, right outside my desert campground not far from Kanab.
