Morten, I agree that the 105/1.8 is superiour to the 85/1.4 (at least IMO). When I picked up the 85/1.4 AiS , there was a bit of a glut on the market (due to the release of the AF-D) so I got one at a great price. My heart wanted the 105/1.8, but it was much more expensive. Later on, with the release of the 105/2 DC, the 105/1.8 prices finally started dropping and I was able to pick one up. I really love the 105/1.8 (though as many point out, the f/2.5 lens is pretty much the same quality from f/4 on, and a LOT lighter). I think the 105/1.8 is pretty much the most beautiful MF lens I own, especially mounted on my F3/T "champagne"
