If you have drawers, you can go to The Container Store (or similar) and purchase dividers for your drawers. If you have to put them into a closet and padded nylon case is lightweight and keeps everything safe from dust and environmental issues. I have custom built cabinets to house my gear out of sight and out of dust. larger gear goes in the taller cabinets.
