I’m not sure what you mean by Transparancy, but strikes me you don’t care for the rendering of the Ultron as it has variances with oof, transition zones, contrast and micro contrast I will say I’ve seen different rendering and DoF for similar apertures across different lens designs which might also account for some of the differences in transition zone appearance. Otherwise the old Ultron is find sharpness wise but it’s not a modern lens or design and apparently lacks some of what you hope for (but makes up for it in contained - or not).
You’ve ruled out centering, if you shine a flashlight through it and don’t see massive haze etc then there ins’t anything wrong with the lens, it just isn’t for you (let me know what you want for it, I love them).
