It is winter again, time to start thinking about wandering through the Southwest AZ desert again. Last year was atypical for me, with low single digit visits. Hopefully I can make it back more often this year
#1 and #2 - 360 degree views. No, not a drone shot, just a slog of a hike
#3 Sunrise on the Kofa Pinnacle
#4 Not the Dolomites - a rare fog in the desert
#5 MW over Squaw - I almost never shoot astro. This is not a composite image. The moon was 1/8 waning but is bright enough to look as a full disk during a 20s exposure
#6 The back country - a remote and rarely visited part of the desert
#7 Cholla infestation - a small canyon with the densest collection of chollas I have seen, you literally have to walk sideways and pay attention at every step
#8 Mordor
#9 Prickly pears
#10 Guardians of the galaxy
#11 Pastel sunrise
#12 Killin' time before the milky way comes up. The MW shot itself was a dud but this turned out OK
