I cannot tell you his name Larry. My "team" was returning from an operation and this M60 machine gunner had just resupplied, was putting on his "steel pot" and was headed back to the line..which was 300 meters away.Outgoing and incoming artillery was in place...I was taking the last picture on an Instamatic and it was all about the :sign:..The machine gunner was an added plus..
Thanks! I have very few photos of that period. All due to the intense heat and humidity and at a FOB(Forward Operating Base) or less.
