I’ve been back to this littered beach several times since I last mentioned how much garbage people leave on it. Including last week when despite how few people were there, of course, I saw empty beer bottles and later an empty beer can while moving between what I’d guess are around seventy-five or so Oystercatchers toward the west and hundreds of Black Skimmers lined up into the wind down toward the east. I did not see all the garbage that is usually observed in the fences but I attribute that to the decline in humans post Labor Day not to any change in human behavior. Oh and some of the few people you do find apparently feel the prominent “No Dogs” signs may be ignored after Labor Day.
