I picked up an X1DII/45P combo last year and have spent the past 12 months working on picking up the XCD V lenses in anticipation of eventually upgrading to the X2D. Right now I have the 25, 55 and 90 V’s.
I didn’t expect the X2DII to have a joystick or greatly improved focusing. Regardless, I’m still targeting the X2D because it has the features I want and more than anything I’m hoping the price follows the downward path the X1DII took after the X2D’s release.
The XCD V’s are great to use with the consistent f2.5 max aperture, and sharing a common filter size. I find myself going manual focus often as well as relying on zone focusing.
But number one is fingers crossed on a lower priced X2D.
