Fantastic, vibrant, tack sharp...great motion blur Tim!
Super!

Much appreciated, thank you Dan. One of my favorite places to go, although it kicks my butt doing the hike.
Went back again today with the family. More consistent clouds, but breezy and quite a bit more people being on the weekend. And a family trip, so only took shots at a few spots.
Boy do I KNOW that feeling Tim! At 78 and in reasonably good shape, I seem to have my "best places to shoot" a hike to and from.....Got to rethink this brother!
Dan
Were these hand held Tim?
Yeah, I hear you. I'm only 55, but I kind of assess what I can do and maybe what will be more challenging. This is one of those things that I will do as long as I'm able. I just may not be able to do it with only one day of rest between visits.
Hand held Tim?
Dan
No, these were all taken tripod mounted with either a CPL or dark CPL. Holding the shutter open enough to blur the water, but not so long as to get a lot of leaf movement. It's been a windy spring here, and it doesn't take much of a breeze to move leaves. Some of the bigger falls had enough water flow that they were producing their own breeze and a misty one at that.
Glad the area rendered you the op to use a tripod! With all the new "editing" technologies now, I sometime find it hard to determine "hand-held" or tripod. As sharp and crisp as these are I would have guessed tripod use but as I said..It is becoming increasing clear that maybe one was not needed for great eqpt or pp editing.
Our Spring has been whacky also...Warmer than normal and lots o rain.....it is always breezy up against the mountains.
Thanks!
Dan
Yeah, I often use a tripod. On the Friday trip, I took my RRS TVC22-i with an Arca-Swiss P1+. Yesterday, being with the family, and feeling kind of pooped, I took my more modest RRS TFC-24L with an Arca-Swiss P0. I like shooting off a tripod, when its use is possible.
And I try to keep color reasonable, although using a polarizer will generally bring out a lot of color in these scenes. The difference is shocking actually. I still don't want anything to look too surreal though.
