Can't overstate the degree to which this camera surprised me. I grabbed it at a similar price a few months ago, expecting to give it to one of the kids or having it on hand for when someone wanted to shoot alongside me.
Well, I did give it to my daughter, and ordered another. Gave that one away, and ordered another.
It's TINY. Like having a lens cap with a grip that takes a battery and SD card. It opens up all sorts of fun options. Winter jacket pocket? The Z30 fits in there. With the 26/2.8, it almost fits in a jeans pocket. Cargo pocket, surely. And yet it's still the same sensor we see in the Z50ii, can still pull off 11fps, and I find myself using it as a second body for wildlife trips. It takes a 70-200 VERY well, and the resulting images are fantastic.
For $399 including a kick-around lens, you'd be silly not to at least try it. If nothing else, you've got a good gift for someone.
