The Sigma comes off somewhat badly in terms of AF speed. To be honest, I couldn't confirm that bad. But I also don't know what kind of body he used. It wasn't that significant on the A7 IV. On the contrary.
You can see how bad the bokeh of the 85 GM I looks with the green fringing. I actually like the Sigma bokeh the best.
I think the AF was during video capture. Stills may be a different story.
I also think the Sigma is slightly longer in focal length vs. all the Sony lenses. Which is closer to true 85mm? Hard to say
But shot from the same distance, that does give a slight edge to the Sigma in terms of bokeh ball size. It would be interesting to see the Mark II and Sigma comparison if they were framed the same to compensate for the slightly wider Mark II. Which I think is what you would do IRL when taking portraits
All that being said, the Sigma does appear to be a compelling option. At a fraction of the price of the Mark II
