In the search for a long tele zoom: Sigma 100-400/5-6.3 + Metabones expander.
I think the optics of the expander are good enough, but the behaviour of the lens is a bit random.
The viewfinder image with IBIS/OIS looks still enough for really slow shutter speeds, but then the images come out unsharp anyway. It's like the camera switches stabilisation off when the image is taken instead of the other way around.
This example was shot on a tripod though. Which also showed a problem; AF is completely useless in low light and MF also almost impossible with such a slow lens. Probably partly because of the old 50 mpix sensor reading out veeeery slowly when light is scarce.
