Since Fujifilm was mentioned, anyone looking to that brand for a very small and light system for certain types of use should take a look at the XE line plus the tiny 27mm f/2.8 pancake lens. The combo is slightly smaller and lighter and less expensive than the recent X100vi.
Downsides include higher prices and that these cameras can be hard to find. Upsides include extensive (old school) manual controls and a great range of very good lenses designed specifically for this APS-C system.
I shoot Canon for my Big Camera Photography, but i travel with a smaller Fujifilm system.
