Louie, did you end up buying that camera then? I was so hesitant to borrow it from Sony Pro because I know I would cave in if I do so. My resistance level is low enough to begin with and looking at the images posted here, as I indicated previously would corrode that even more so.
Hi Joshua, yes, the 7 days loaner from Sony pushed me over the edge. The more I shoot with this camera the more I like it. FPS and Pre-capture are just fun to shoot, I'm shooting standard at 30fps with C5 set to 60fps and that seems to work out quite well for me. Easy enough to change to 120fps if and when I want to. As to AF, not sure I would say it's better than the A1, but eye detect seems to snap in pretty fast even on moving birds.
I find it a great companion to my A1.
I'm quite surprised that the A93 does seem to get the respect I think it deserves, not exactly sure why that is. Cropping always seems to pop up as a reason for not getting it, and I can see that for small birds and distance shooting but for my stye shooting I haven't found cropping to be an issue. Again, I'm amazed by some of the comments being made about who needs 120fps, until you've shot a little at that frame rate you really don't know what you've missed in the way of action.
