Re: A7c vs A7c II - Q for those who have shot with both

I found the original A7C hard to operate with gloves on, the on/off button was small, grip wasn't deep, and like the OP, my middle finger constantly rubbed against the lens. Poor me. Anyway, all those issues are gone on the 7CII

Of course the A7RV's viewfinder is better. It always will be. The A7C series is literally designed to be more compact and cheaper. I don't understand why this forum has chose to bash this topic to absolute death.

Regarding AF as @newdom asked. The subject recognition works better in the A7CII, it can focus on the eye, even if the head is turned 80% away which is one of my favorite things about the new "AI Chip". Needless to say, the A7C AF is very good - the tracking is a night and day improvement over the A7III, using Lock-On AF: Expand Flexible Spot.

Startup time, feel of the softer grip, and 2 claimed stops of improved IBIS are other improvements.

Edit: to address banding question. I use flicker mode+EFCS if I'm nervous of any banding effects under artificial mode. Haven't seen lines yet.
