Yes, this is the same way it is on A7RV.
If you want anti-flicker (only 100/120hz so standard leds), you cannot use electronic (silent) shutter.
Var. shutter should work in electronic (silent) shutter but you need to use a shooting mode that controls the shutter speed then (S or M...).
