This whole "auto-capture" thing seems an oddity to me, but it has started me thinking.
What is one leaves behind camera/lens on a tripod at a spot in nature, preferably covered in camo cloth, and backs off about 50 meters until completely out of sight, and connects to the camera with mobile phone to see the viewfinder image on the phone screen, and then have all the camera controls behind icons on the screen.
You could even make yourself comfortable in a tent with coffee and a book and just watch the phone display and wait until wildlife appears. You could use a tablet to have a better view and more real estate for the controls/buttons.
Would this not enable you to photograph animals/birds in situations that are impossible if you are physically there?
