reference Multi selector button (MSB)
When using the Z8 MSB my thumb becomes uncomfortable. For me, it is too tight on the left side of the button.
I've never felt that discomfort with my D850 and now that I looked at the MSB on my D850, the MSB is raised considerably and it has a generous amount of room around it.
Relative to the Z9, the Z8 MSB is closer to the ridge that is the frame of the articulating LCD.
In picture below, the Z9 is on the right and the Z8 is on the right......
