The a1 has similar issues...... Basically avoid current Sony models, and possibly future models, if this is a show stopper.

I'm very happy with the a7R V coming from the a7R III, I didn't feel the a7R IV was enough of an upgrade. It's a decision that everyone has to make for themselves, and at least there is money to be saved for not upgrading!

Sony will need to issue a fix -- it is obviously a bug introduced in this new a7R5 model. No issues with Loxia or CV E lenses previously on earlier models.
