You may be holding the camera incorrectly if you are finding hard edges with the a7R V. Also, having consistency across models is generally a plus as you are comfortable with the controls when switching bodies you shoot.

My suggestion of moving on and finding a brand you're happy with still stands. With Sony being last in your book, why not find some brand with curvy bodies that suits your desires?

Sony need to re-hire some old Minolta people who were master of ergonomics.
They now have 0 variation in their camera bodies, across the entire FF range of cameras.
Bar minor tweaks. Minolta had awesome ergos, and now Sony are in last place

It's sad that Sony continue to use the blocky/boxy bad ergonomics so loathed by so many, they would absolutely be much more loved if they sorted this constant problem out. I don't know what muppet thought angular/hard edges was a good idea on a device you hold in your hands, oh well (double sigh)
