The Tamron 18-300mm is a jack of all trades, master of none, but it has better image quality than one would expect, and can absolutely live on the camera. Through in a 10-24 for the wide stuff.
I know you discounted it in the OP, but I think it's worth renting. I rented it for a trip to Hawaii, and bought it when I got back.
